Before you start
- A Balnzed account with Fintra
- An owner or admin of your Balnzed organization
- Permission to add apps to your Slack workspace
- A channel for Fintra, for example #fintra
Set up Slack
Everything starts in Fintra. Sign in, then follow these steps.
Set up once for your team
Owner or admin- 1
Turn on Slack for your organization
In Fintra, open Connectors, choose Slack and turn it on.
FintraConnectorsSlack - 2
Connect your Slack workspace
Choose Connect Slack and approve in Slack. Before you do, Fintra shows exactly which permissions Slack will ask for.
- 3
Choose the channel your team talks to Fintra in
Pick a channel such as #fintra. Fintra answers there and in direct messages, so it never reads conversations it wasn’t invited to. You can have it answer every message or only when someone @mentions it.
/invite @Fintra
If Fintra isn’t in the channel yet, type /invite @Fintra in that channel, then check again.
- 4
Send a test message
Fintra sends a test message to the channel. Once it arrives, setup is done.
Start using it
Everyone in the channel- 5
Mention Fintra and ask
Ask a question in the channel. Fintra replies in the thread with the answer, and anything that changes your books comes back as a draft.
@Fintra who owes us the most?
What you can do
- One place for the team
- Everyone sees the same answers in the same channel, so nobody has to ask twice.“@Fintra how are sales this month?”
- Approve in the thread
- Drafts from Fintra and from Gmail appear with Approve and Reject, if approvals from chat are turned on.
- Stay in the loop
- Fintra posts notifications to the channels you choose, so the right people see them.
Good to know
- Fintra only reads the channel you choose and its direct messages.
- Owners and admins can turn off answers, direct messages or approvals from chat at any time.
- Disconnecting stops new messages. Past delivery history is kept.

Our team will walk you through it.
