Before you start
- A Balnzed account with Fintra
- WhatsApp on your own phone
- An owner or admin to turn WhatsApp on (once)
- Optional: a WhatsApp Business number, if you want customers to see your own name
Set up WhatsApp
Everything starts in Fintra. Sign in, then follow these steps.
Turn on WhatsApp
Owner or admin, once- 1
Open WhatsApp in Fintra
Sign in to Fintra, open Connectors from the sidebar and choose WhatsApp.

Choose which number sends your messages
Use the Balnzed WhatsApp number to start right away. You don’t need a Meta or Facebook account. Or connect your own WhatsApp Business number so customers see your business name and number.
To use your own number you sign in with Meta to pick it. Balnzed never sees your password. Meta’s WhatsApp Business terms apply.
Link your phone
Each person who wants to chat- 3
Get your link code
On the WhatsApp page, under “Chat with Fintra from your phone”, choose Get my link code. The code works once, for 15 minutes.

Send it from your own phone
Open WhatsApp on your phone and send the message exactly as shown to the business number on the page. Don’t send it to yourself or to a teammate.

The code links the phone that sends it to your account, so only you should use it.

Ask Fintra anything
The page confirms your phone is linked. Now message Fintra like you would a colleague.
How much do customers owe me?
What you can do
- Ask on the go
- Balances, overdue invoices, this month’s sales. Answers come from your live Balnzed books.“What did we sell this week?”
- Approve from your phone
- When Fintra drafts something, you can approve or reject it in the chat, if your admin allows approvals from chat.“Draft an invoice for Lanka Builders”
- Send invoices to customers
- Send an invoice to a customer on WhatsApp and see when it’s delivered and read.
Good to know
- You can unlink your phone at any time. Your earlier chats stay in your chat list.
- Turning WhatsApp off stops Fintra sending messages. Your conversations and settings are kept.
- Questions you ask on WhatsApp use AI credits, the same as in the web app.
